From 19 to 23 August 2025, Kitzbühel will host the international hiking experience HIGHLANDER – Adventure of a Lifetime. This multi-day long-distance hike offers flexible formats – from 5-day and 3-day routes - to shorter two and one-day versions – it attracts outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world to the Kitzbühel Alps.

The route follows the striking southern ridge of the Kitzbühel Alps – from the Kitzbüheler Horn along the panoramic Südberge, across Pass Thurn to the Resterhöhe with views of the Hohe Tauern, before returning via the Pengelstein to the legendary Hahnenkamm.

Each camp is tucked away in the mountains and offers everything you need for a unique and memorable nature experience:
